Dorm Life: Christmas Decor and Pineapple Cookies

Dorm Life: Christmas Decor and Pineapple Cookies

I have really fallen in love with 2-ingredient cookies.  They are so easy and convenient to make at school.  Fruit+Oatmeal=Cookie.  The end.   But there is bigger news…

Christmastime is here!

The lights! The family! The food! The presents! The music! Yes!  I love Christmas!

There are only two school weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas break, but I cannot leave my room plain.  Last year, my roommate went all out–lights, garland, a tree, snowflakes, and stockings.  I didn’t put in quite as much effort as she did last year, but I did bring back a wire “tree” with ornaments and a small nativity.  I’m feeling festive and ready to celebrate the season!

Now back to that cookie recipe…

These cookies have nothing to do with Christmas.  I guess  you could bake these for Santa if you really wanted, but I hear that he prefers decorated sugar cookies over tropical oatmeal cookies.  I would recommend just making these for yourself.  Then again, I’ve never made cookies for Santa, so I’m no expert on the matter.

Pineapple Oatmeal Cookies

  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Mix together both ingredients
  • Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet
  • Bake 8-10 minutes
  • Eat and enjoy!

What are your favorite parts of Christmas?
