If my brother and I learned anything as children, it was how to entertain ourselves on long trips. On the middle bench seat of our trusty Astro van, we read books, listened to our Walkmans, and–our favorite–played Mad Libs. We attempted to come up with the most crazy (bizarre, unique, kooky) adjectives, verbs, and nouns, and the games always ended in fits of giggles.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I have the awesome opportunity to be an RA this semester. Along with my other duties, I meet with the girls on my hall once a week for a short Bible study. Throughout the next few months, I will be sharing those studies with you. Last night, however, we just had fun. In order to get to know the girls on my hall better, I had them each fill out one of these cards:
Once everyone was finished, we traded sheets with someone else in the room. Each of us then transferred the answers to a second sheet which contained the following “Mad Libs” style story:
