WIAW: Travelling

WIAW: Travelling

Before 7:00 on Monday morning, I awoke to my Dad saying, “Time to wake up. I am heading to work.” With a sense of deja vu (my dad woke me up every day of high school), I unsteadily pulled myself to my feet and gave my dad a hug. “See you Friday.”

After doing some morning stretches so that my muscles would actually work, I put on a comfortable, warm outfit and went downstairs to the kitchen.

For a few days, my mind had been working on a recipe for Rice Krispie Treat Oatmeal.  My experiment made a great breakfast (the recipe should be posted next week).

Despite the fact that we don’t have school this week, one of my professors assigned a discussion board Monday morning (and even sent an email to confirm that he did expect us to do it!). I read the prompt and wrote my response before starting a blog draft for the oatmeal recipe.

At 9:30, mom drove me to the airport. Due to the unusual amount of snacks in my bags, my bag was searched at the checkpoint. Nonetheless, I was at the gate long before I needed to be, and I started enjoying all of those snacks.

I edited a video for part of the first flight, but I get weird feelings in my head when I fly, so I   ended up sleeping.

Between flights, I ate the Chic-fil-a wrap that mom bought me on the way to the airport.

After another flight, I met up with my brother, and my uncle drove us to our grandparents house…

…but they weren’t there! The plan was to surprise our grandparents, but it was such a surprise that they weren’t even home! We went out for pizza at a local place called Fricanos.

Sorry for the REALLY bad picture!

After pizza, we went back to Grandpa and Grandma’s house (they were there!) and talked for a while before bed.

Thanks to Jen, Meghan, Laura, and Arman for hosting What I Ate Wednesday!

  1. Ooh wow, it looks like you had a wonderful trip, and I’m thankful you got to keep all those snacks. Aren’t God’s mercies revealed in so many ways? Today I’m thankful for you sister. I’m thankful that God sent His Only Begotten Son to save us from sin, so that we could talk about God’s mercy and His blessings and His grace.

    1. The wrap is good for travel, but my favorite thing at Chick-fil-a is the Garden Market Salad (it has strawberries, blueberries, pecans, apples, and grilled chicken!). It is so delicious! Thanks for stopping by!
