A Walking Tour of Boston

A Walking Tour of Boston

Well, I’ve never plucked a rooster,

And I’m not too good at ping pong,

And I’ve never thrown my mashed potatoes up against the wall,

And I’ve never kissed a chipmunk,

And I’ve never gotten head lice…”

But I have been to Boston in the fall.

In fact, I was just there on Thursday.  My brother and I arrived in Boston in the early afternoon, and we toured the city on foot.

Brother planned a three-mile walk that stopped at many historical landmarks.  We strolled past the site of the Boston Tea Party.  We stood on the street corner of the Boston Massacre, and we sat in the pews where colonists became patriots.

As the clock reached 3:30, we hurried to the Bunker Hill monument and climbed the 294 steps.

We both enjoyed an afternoon of history in this beautiful city.
