Simple Joy Saturday #14

Simple Joy Saturday #14

Every Saturday I share three simple things that brought me happiness during the week.  These posts may grow or evolve as time passes.  Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section!

December 2 – 8

1. Jared & Katie’s Pop Quiz

I am not very good at keeping up with Hollywood happenings, but every morning at 7:20, I listen to Katie, a radio DJ, answer 5 questions about pop culture.  It sort of keeps me in the loop.

2. Sow flurries during my Friday morning drive

When I was about two miles from work, I noticed light flecks of snow falling to my windshield.  Throughout the day, the flurries became large flakes (after a period of freezing rain) that covered the ground (and gave me reason to leave work 2.5 hours early).  This picture was taken around 4:15 yesterday afternoon.

3. Monk + Scrabble

Since I came home early, I had time for a few episodes of my favorite television show (which we now watch on DVD because it doesn’t actually come on TV) and games of Scrabble with my mom.

What is your favorite way to spend a cold, snowy night?

  1. Ooh what’s the TV show monk about? And I love playing Scrabble with my fam; even though I’m not very good at it.

Also, aren’t snow flurries such a glorious gift from God? He sends snow flurries to earth just for His glory and it’s amazing how we can enjoy them too.

    1. This TV show is about Adrian Monk, a detective with sever OCD. Because he notices minor details, he is a great detective, but his OCD also causes hilarious social situations. You should try to watch a few episodes!
