Strawberry Salsa

Strawberry Salsa

May is National Strawberry Month AND National Salsa Month

Did you know that almost 14% of people think that cilantro tastes like soap? It’s true, and it’s completely scientific.

Since I am more fond of English and math than I am of science, I will leave you to study genetic causation on your own.

I am just happy to say that I like cilantro, and it makes a nice addition to this colorful strawberry salsa.

Mix up 5 simple ingredients, pour it into jars, and bring it along for a picnic.

  • 1/2 pound strawberries (about 15 strawberries), diced
  • 1 medium or 1/2 large cucumber, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.  Toss to mix.
  • Eat and enjoy!

I am linking up with Angie and her cohost, Mollie @ The Frugal Hausfrau , for Fiesta Friday.

  1. I’ve tried strawberry salsa before and I liked it. This looks amazing it made me miss the salsa I ate before with chicken. Thanks for sharing, Kat. Happy Fiesta Friday!
