I like to think that I am still a “youngin’,” but every time I see new students arrive on campus, I feel a little bit older. Then I go to the gym and share the pool with the water aerobics class, and I realize that my day is coming.
Today’s verses give me hope that God will be faithful throughout my entire life, no matter how long (or short) that may be.

And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

I have been young, and now am old,
yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
or his children begging for bread.

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.

Gray hair is a crown of glory;
