I guess this isn’t really a recipe. It’s more of an idea for a yummy snack, a proposal for a unique flavor combination, a suggestion for using a tasty nut butter.
But, it’s National Sandwich Month, and no one can truly write a recipe for a sandwich. In the end, a sandwich is always bread with toppings, and that is what I bring you today.
- Espresso nut butter pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate.
- For a colorful bread alternative, slice a sweet potato length-wise about 1/4 inch thick. Toast for 5-10 minutes.
- Put the toppings on the toast immediately. The warm toast will cause the chocolate to melt. Gooey goodness!
- If you are a dedicated coffee lover, lightly sprinkle coffee over your toast.
