Snickerdoodle Hummus

Snickerdoodle Hummus

September is National Honey Month

The day after I first made this hummus, I ate it at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  It’s that good.  It’s also incredibly easy to prepare.  Snickerdoodle hummus is made of simple ingredients including cashew butter, honey, and (of course) cinnamon.  I love to eat it with carrots or cinnamon tortilla chips, but all you really need is a spoon!

  • One 15-oz can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed several times
  • 1/4 cup cashew butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon molasses
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt

  • Combine all ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
  • Serve with carrots, tortilla chips, cookies, or any “dipper” of your choosing!

P.S. I am linking up with Angie and her cohosts Zeba @ Food For The Soul and Debanita @ Canvassed Recipes for Fiesta Friday.

    1. Mostly because baking powder is in snickerdoodle cookies 🙂 . Since the hummus isn’t baked, the baking powder doesn’t do much. You could definitely omit it, but I saw it in other recipes for dessert hummus, so I included it here.
