Two Revolutions

Two Revolutions

The day after our jaunt through Boston, Dad and I drove to Concord to visit the former homes of Nathaniel Hawthorne (Old Manse) and Louisa May Alcott (The Orchard House).  To our surprise, Old Manse was only yards away from the site of an early Revolutionary War battle.

When we planned the trip, I had hoped to learn about the literary revolution of the 18oos.  I was delighted to also learn more about the national revolution which occurred one century before.
