A few weeks go, I went for a walk with a new friend. Before this night, our friendship had been surface-level. We both wanted to be friends, but our “water cooler” conversations had not drilled deep.
But this night, our friendship grew rapidly. As we discussed the wonders chocolate milk, we realized that we are (in the words of Anne of Green Gables) “kindred spirits.” The conversation flowed from dairy products to education, to work struggles, and, finally, relationships.
Both of us are single, and we agreed that society can portray single girls as neglected. But the truth we both claim, as cliche as it sounds, is that God does not make mistakes, and His plan is perfect. The Bible is filled with His promise to never neglect us. Time and time again, we read of his never-ending, unbreaking, enduring love.
